Virtual Keystone Symposia began as a Keystone Symposia initiative to highlight global scientists and their work, and to build community around the organization's in-person meeting offerings through the distribution of free long- and short-form video content.
With the COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020, the site was rebuilt to offer a robust multi-day virtual meeting format (and to meet the organization's unique use-case) intended to simulate the 40-year tradition of a KS face-to-face conference. The site has expanded to about 40,000 users and includes p2p networking, dynamic poster sessions and both paid and free on demand content.

Digital Toolkit (DTK)
Keystone Symposia is a meeting planning non-profit with a very niche audience. Meetings are held in small numbers and placed at resort locations, where up to 1/3 of the attendees are paid speakers in distinct fields of life-science research. Because it's difficult to cast a "wide net" from a marketing perspective, the DTK is a way to enable relatively small numbers of speakers and organizers to promote their scientific meeting to their peers.
DTK consists of downloadable mixed-media in multiple formats with pre-composed social copy. The latest iteration of the toolkit is database driven and built on HubDB. Try this Tweet:

Other Web Projects
These are some of my favorite projects, mostly small (unpaid) labors of love all of which were live at some point. Tigerlily, featured to the right, was a small mom-and-pop (Lily and Eric are now retired) Asian-fusion restaurant where I worked as a line-cook (I make a mean fried-rice for an Irish guy). The site was heavily SEO'd and regularly out-ranked Panda Express locally. Casablanca (under new ownership) is a small dive-bar on the barrier island of Cocoa Beach, FL. (I'm actually a pretty decent bartender as well).
